The 7TH Day of the Feast- What does it mean?

Today marks the seventh day of the Feast of Tabernacles. The first and last days of this 7 day holyday are considered special Sabbaths and a Holy assembly is required by God for those in His church that follows these days. Tomorrow is actually another separate holy day called The LAST GREAT DAY. More will be written about this tomorrow. The first day of the feast represents the first year of the Millennium after Jesus has returned to earth, established his Government; ruled by His Laws (The Ten Commandments) when Sabbaths will be re-instituted to the world (Isa 66:23 ) to follow. The seventh day of this festival is marked by another special Sabbath, and today represents the last year in the 1,000 year reign of Christ. All enemies have been put down, and Christ, along with all resurrected Christians will ready themselves for the final judgement of God. The rest of all the dead who never obeyed Christ will be resurrected from the dead for judgement (Rev 20:5 ), where the Books are opened and all mankind are individually judged- some to live again under God, and others to be burned up forever and totally destroyed (no there is no eternal suffering for bad people in hell!).

In Isaiah 2:2-4, we read "And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." and also: Isaiah 11:6, 9, "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them . . . . They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea."

This is the awesome fate of all mankind! We are to judge mankind and the angels in the world to come, and this holiday commemorates this tremendous task yet to come! In Revelation 2:26-27, John states: "And he that overcometh, and keepeth My works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron . . . ." 5:10, "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth." 20:4, "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: . . . and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

This is why we are to keep this feast! Zechariah 14:16-19, "And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left . . . shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. . . . This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles."
