George W. Bush's ethics czar says there is more 'abuse of power' evidence against Trump than there was against Nixon
There is more evidence of President Donald Trump's alleged crimes than there was during Richard Nixon's time in the White House, George W. Bush's chief ethics lawyer has said.
Richard Painter, a former Republican who is now running for a Senate seat in Minnesota as a Democrat, told CBS News there is 'far more evidence of abuse of power and obstruction of justice' against Trump than there ever was against Nixon.
Nixon was forced to resign in 1974 after it was learned he was involved in covering up crimes connected to the Watergate burglary.


Painter said it's up to Congress to put a check on Trump, whose alleged crimes he says pale in comparison to Watergate.
