Religious Liberty At The Crossroads

Never since the founding of the United States, a little more than two hundred years ago, has the subject of Religious Liberty been so vigorously discussed and passionately contested as is now taking place. Whether it be Jack Phillips, a Colorado baker who refuses to decorate a wedding cake for a gay couple, the removal of the Johnson Amendment which prohibits the endorsement and support of political candidates, or a woman's right to choose, the issue of Religious Liberty has been brought to the forefront of the American conscientiousness.

Jack Phillips' case, currently being heard before the United States Supreme Court, pits his right to his  religious beliefs against the law of the land. The Religious Right wants the Johnson Amendment removed so that they can employ  their financial acumen to change the morals of the nation and rule it according to their religious views. Of course, there is the ever present discussion on a woman's right to kill her unborn child.

These and other politically-charged issues are bringing the very foundation of our republic into sharp focus. But where will it ultimately end? What will become of our Religious Liberty? Find out here.
