Forward by Bob Barney: John McCain passed away over the weekend. In America, we often saint our leaders who have tragically died young, many of which were not saints in life. John Kennedy for example, Martin Luther King, and in some lesser degree, Abraham Lincoln, who Lincoln ordered hundreds of Northern newspapers who dared to speak out against him to be shut down. And their owners and editors were arrested for disloyalty. He also ordered the arrest of Ohio Congressman Clement Vallandigham for the crime of speaking out against him, and who as Chief Justice of the US Roger Taney, sitting as a judge of the United States Circuit Court for the District of Maryland, ruled that Lincoln had violated the US Constitution when he illegally suspended the Writ of Habeas Corpus.
John McCain, however has been sainted as a hero, while still alive for actions that I think most of us never learned of or forgot. Take a look... Just a note: I did not wish to publish this at the man's death, but he spilled vim and vinegar at the cost of our nation's future, right to the end. The future of which John McCain, I suggest, would have destroyed.
